The welcome bonus index: 11 headline ceilings, as each exchange publishes them.

Every exchange in our index runs a sign-up programme. This report lists the headline ceiling each one publishes, the referral terms that attach to our code, and how the code attaches — and explains why the ceiling is not what a first deposit earns. Ceilings are quoted, not audited: they are not part of the fee re-read.

Key Findings
  • Two programmes publish a 30,000 ceiling: Bybit ($30,000) and Weex (30,000 USDT). OKX ($10,000) and MEXC ($9,000) come next; Binance publishes the smallest at $600.
  • Every headline is the top rung of a deposit ladder. The lower rungs — the ones a first deposit reaches — are set on each exchange's promotion page, which we quote but do not audit.
  • For 10 of the 11 the referral code is carried in our sign-up link; at Bybit it has to be typed into the referral field.
  • The referral fee terms (20–60%) outlast the bonus, but at a typical first-year volume they are worth tens of dollars, not hundreds — the arithmetic is below.

The bonus directory, as published

Table 1 is generated from the same dataset as every exchange page, so a code or ceiling changed in the data changes here on the next build. "As published" means the figure on the exchange's own programme page at the time it was recorded; it is not re-verified on the 45-day fee cycle.

Why the headline number is not what you get

Each ceiling is the top tier of a ladder: the exchange publishes a maximum reward, and the reward you actually receive depends on how much you deposit and, at most programmes, on trading tasks completed inside a claim window. The published maximum assumes a deposit far above a typical first purchase. We do not publish per-tier thresholds because we have not read every ladder rung by rung; the terms page reached from the sign-up button is the only authoritative source, and it should be read before depositing.

The rebate arithmetic, done honestly

The referral fee terms last for as long as the exchange keeps the programme open, so they are often sold as the bigger prize. At retail volume they are not. A first-year buyer who trades $20,000 of spot at OKX's 0.10% entry-tier fee pays $20 in fees; the top-tier 54% rebate returns about $10.80. At $200,000 of volume the same terms return about $108. The fee terms matter to active traders; for a first Bitcoin purchase the lower bonus tiers, whatever they turn out to be, are the larger number.

How to approach the stack

  1. Register at the two or three exchanges you will actually use, with the referral code attached at sign-up — referral terms cannot be added to an existing account.
  2. Open the promotion terms from the sign-up button before depositing, and read the claim window and any trading-task conditions.
  3. Deposit only what you intend to trade; do not chase a higher rung.
  4. Where a platform token discount exists (BNB, OKB, GT, MX), it stacks with the referral terms — see the fee report.

One account per person per exchange: most programmes prohibit multiple accounts, and a second registration to re-claim a bonus risks both accounts.

Cash or trading credit?

Whether a tier pays out as withdrawable cash or as trade-only credit is set per campaign and changes more often than fee schedules. We do not track it; treat any bonus as trading credit unless the exchange's terms say otherwise.

Methodology

Headline ceilings, referral terms and codes are held in the site dataset and quoted as published on each exchange's referral or partner programme page when recorded (first edition published in May 2026). They are not part of the fee re-read that runs at least every 45 days; the corrections log records what each cycle changed. No per-tier thresholds, claim windows or withdrawability rules are asserted in this report because we have not audited them.
